Description
What would the childhood chair of legendary fashion designer Alexander McQueen look like? An affinity for clothing from the age of three, McQueen was inspired by the juxtaposition of lightness and darkness, fragility and strength that were apparent in his own family; which is represented through the combination of the strengthened and structured yet delicate black lace chair.

Lace chair inspired by Alexander McQueen's childhood motivations - An affinity for clothing from the age of three, Alexander McQueen's legendary work was inspired by the juxtaposition of lightness and darkness, fragility and strength that were apparent in his own family. Redesigning an ikea chair inspired by the childhood motivations of the legendary Alexander McQueen, the chair transformed into a combination of strong yet delicate black lace, hollow from the inside yet structured.

Inspired by the Arab Spring, The Square is a political, social and cultural monthly digital interactive magazine committed to providing a platform for the voice of youth revolutionaries around the world. With an inaugural issue of the Arab Spring, it features inspirational and empowering youth of Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Bahrain and beyond, from revolutions that began over a year ago to the protests still going on today, including interviews, start-ups, stories, music and graffiti from the revolutionary squares across the Arab world.Editorial Design, Interaction Design, Typography2012 -
This infographic visualizes all the songs of the Power Girls and is divided into four main categories. That includes songs that were unreleased (rehearsed but never performed), in the album, music videos and the movie, Power World.
The dotted line represents the song, and a filled in line represents song & choreography. The white dot represents all the number one hit singles they created (clearly, most of their songs reached the top of the charts) The diamonds represent the three main concerts the Power Girls performed at, indicating which songs were performed, progressing by year.
Oh and the group consisted of my 8 year old self, my sister and two best friends. The songs are all covers from "real" artists, and our manager was my dad.Graphic Design, Print Design2012 -
A book depicting two opposing perspectives of the separation barrier that disconnects the West Bank from Israel. A subjective narrative of an Israeli man exists on one side of the wall, strongly supporting the wall as necessary for peace and security, and a very different opinion of a Palestinian man on the other side of the wall as an isolating blockade creating impoverished ghettos.Graphic Design, Design, Typography2011 -
Using handmade techniques, an ordinary object can be transformed into various forms and become beautiful. Paper is embossed, die cut and carefully constructed as each word evolves and becomes more 3rd as the video progresses to create a final scene that conveys the meaning of the sentence.Motion Graphics, Graphic Design, Typography2011 -
Two hundred vacuformed grenades create dove wings for peace. For imprisoned lives that do not have the freedom to escape, for children unluckily born in the wrong time and place, and innocent lives wasted on a forsaken planet, the wings make a bold and unequivocal statement about the beauty and dream of peace and in contrast, the loathsome inhumanity of war. A sculpture and fashion piece symbolic of a hope to break free and rise above the culture of hate, oppression and war.

With the aim of touching the hearts of 45 children in a homeless shelter in the bronx, a personalized art kit featuring a coloring book and art supplies currently needed at the shelter. (including construction paper, markers, colored pencils, glue, clay and crayons).
The story in the book unfolds as each child uses the art supplies in their magic box to create their own adventure. To create an elegant, but playful design, watercolors and hand-lettered typography were used.Illustration, Packaging, Typography2011 -

Bringing Olympic moments onto the streets and storefronts, Nike wanted to connect sponsored Canadian athletes to their fans. While working at Quizative, I animated short clips of athletes that were displayed on storefronts from Vancouver to Toronto streaming inspirational Nike-branded content and fan messages. Storefront displays were a way to showcase the 2010 winter Olympics as seen through the lens of the athletes and fans and share the competitive spirit and celebrate each medal won.Animation, Motion Graphics2012 -

A bilingual promotional poster, program and tickets for the Hip Hop 360 festival using a limited color palette, with a bright color scheme and contrast in hand-lettered typography, aiming to reflect upon the culture of hip hop.
